• The Aluminium Chair is one of the most famous designs of the twentieth Century. Charles and Ray Eames created this chair in 1958 for the private estate of an art collector in Columbus, Indiana (USA). For its structure, the designer couple turned away from the seat shell they had previously developed, instead stretching a panel of fabric or leather between two aluminium side structures, creating an elastic seating, making it very comfortable despite not being padded.
