With the Low Coffee Table, developped to furnish the new interiors of America after the war, Florence Knoll scaled-down the lines, gestures and materials of modern architecture. The geometric presence and pure lines of the low table reflect the rational design approach Florence Knoll learned from Mies van der Rohe and is in line with all of her designs.

The top is 5/8in thick polished plate glass, the frame is welded square steel tube with a polished chrome finish.
