The Bell Table by Sebastian Herkner hustles our perceptual habits, using glass- a lightweight and fragile material as the base for a metal top, appearing to float above. Hand-blown in the traditional manner with a wooden mould, the transparent tinted glass base becomes a sculpture, in stark contrast with the metal frame on top. The harmonious result is reminiscent of the elegantly curved silhouette of a bell.
Hand-blown glass base in various colours. Metal top frame solid brass or copper. Tabletop crystal glass, black lacquered, or marble tabletop in various versions, polished and impregnated. The Bell collection includes a coffee table and a side table.
